Around 12 months of age, it is the prime time for babies to develop the pincer grip skill. Our experts spent time analyzed the hand movements of babies at this stage to design the perfect spoons and forks. We experimented with the length of handles to find one that best fit babies’ tiny hands. Then we improved its ergonomics quality to make it intuitive for babies to transition to the pincer grip. We also tweaked around the curvature of the handles and found that when handles are curved at approximately 90 degree angle babies are able to maneuver of food into mouths better.
